She was born in Alaska, and moved all around the United States as a Coast Guard brat. Kim was greatly influenced by her few years living in Hawai’i as a child, and moved back in 2017 after eleven years in New York City.

Much of their clothing is made with organic cotton and eco-friendly materials, and their boutique ALL Aloha line is handcrafted on the island of Molokai. Kealopiko's mission to mālama ʻāina (reduce their impact on lands both in and out of Hawaiʻi) is carried through in their commitment to donate 2% of profits to organizations working to perpetuate Hawaiian culture and environmental stewardship.
