How to Make Envelopes Out of Eco-Friendly Wrapping Paper + Treat Bag

DIY Envelope #1 - For Cards 

This handmade envelope will fit a 6" x 4" card or letter. Start with a larger square for larger envelopes. Since it doesn't require any tape, glue, or adhesives, this envelope is 100% recyclable and compostable when made with newsprint gift wrap. A great way to reuse wrapping paper or utilize smaller scrap pieces of paper.

This small rectangular 5.5" x 2.5" envelope is the perfect size for Valentine's and snack-sized treats. Pro Tip: You can always cut a larger sheet of paper to create a bigger envelope if you need to fit a full-sized letter as long as you keep the proportions.

  • Twine, Raffia, or Ribbon
